Oak Care Home exists to support young people in their transition from childhood to being adults – ‘Bridging skills to full independence’. We help Local Authorities to meet their obligations, particularly to ‘Looked After’ children in their area.

Our mission

We are committed to young people and helping them to maximise their potential. We do not give up on young people and hold their safety and welfare as paramount. This ethos is reflected in our dealings with our young people, staff, commissioners, social workers and all partner agencies. Many of the young people have challenging behaviours but all have unique talents and we aim to treat them respectfully as individuals.

Flexible, Quality Operator

  • We aim to be a flexible, adaptable and quality operator that offers good value for money.
  • We expect our staff to be good role models.
  • We understand the pressures on time and resources that Local Authorities can face in relation to adequately and safely support young people.

Oak Care Home

Welcome to Oak care home, we provide an environment full with opportunities that you would be proud to call home. We are offering semi-independent accommodation to Local Authorities and Social Services departments for young people 16-to-18-year old. Our purpose is to provide you with the skills you need to move onto independent living.

Aim for young people

Our aim is to provide a warm, safe and caring environment for young people aged 16-18, who are leaving or entering care either from residential or fostering environment into our semi-independent service. We enable young people to develop their skills towards independence whilst they are growing into young adults. Oak Care Home Ltd endeavours to enhance their well-being into a bright and positive future.

What young people we look after and how, and why we are your first choice.

  • We aim to provide an appropriate accommodation and support service that offers young people day to day support and training to achieve positive results.
  • We aim to increase young people’s skills, confidence and self-esteem by providing them with a positive network of support and links into their community.
  • We aim for their independence to grow and our support to taper down, in preparation for a stable ‘move-on’ into adulthood.
